AERATION
Aeration is very beneficial to your lawn. It provides an excellent seed bed for over-seeding/fertilizing and also is also great for existing turf.
Core aeration can benefit your lawn by:

Over-seeding works best in conjunction with aeration in the spring or fall. We find that the best results for overseeding are in the fall. This is due to the fact that it gives the new grass seed approximately nine months to establish a root system before being exposed to the summer heat. Spring seeding only allows approximately three months for the roots to develop and strengthen before the seed is exposed to summer heat. However over-seeding can be done during other parts of the year if necessary. We generally use a grass seed called Southern Lawn that is specifically designed to meet the challenges our area presents. It is a high performance turf grass seed that can stand up against heat, wear, disease, and other challenges.
FERTILIZING
We offer a four step turf program. This consist of treatments in early spring, early summer, late summer and early fall. We believe that the fertilizer applications we offer provide adequate weed control, great dark green color, heat and drought resistance and excellent root development.
We also offer tree and shrub fertilization. We use several types of fertilizers depending on the type of plant and what needs it may have.
Although the fertilizer program we offer is generally sufficient for the needs and demands of our area, we still recommend letting us take a professional soil sample to identify your lawn's exact needs. We also offer lime applications after a soil analysis.
CURBSIDE LEAF REMOVAL
We offer curbside leaf removal services. We use a leaf vacuum machine mounted on a large box truck that can hold large amounts of leaves.
The leaves are disposed of at various locations in the Roanoke valley, where they are recycled and turned into compost. Several local farmers use them to compost their gardens. This helps both the customer and the environment.
It saves the customer from paying disposal fees we would ordinarily have to charge due to the city or county charging us costly disposal fees. It also is great for the environment. It is an all natural way of giving back to the earth for new plants to grow healthy.
Curbside leaf removal is also great because it gives you the opportunity to have the leaves removed without having to waste time and money on costly bags.
SNOW REMOVAL
We offer both residential and commercial snow removal. We have a truck with a snow plow for plowing the larger jobs and also an ATV with a snow plow to take care of the smaller jobs. We also will take care of removing the snow from walks, decks, patios, etc. if necessary.
We also apply ice melt or rock salt as a preventative or when plowing just isn't enough.
We offer free estimates for snow removal services and can do so at any time. It is better to get an estimate and get on schedule before the snow falls!!
GUTTER CLEANING
We offer residential gutter cleaning. Although it is a tough job, somebody has to do it! Don't risk climbing an unsteady ladder and falling off. Let us take care of this chore for you. If you have us do a full service leaf removal job, have us clean your gutters while we are there!
After the leaves begin to fall, tree limbs hanging over house roofs can drop leaves and debris into your gutters. This clogs them and prevents the gutters from performing like they are designed to do. Gutters should be inspected and cleaned annually. The most important time to have you gutters cleaned is late fall after the leaves have fallen. The gutters should be clear of leaves and debris before cold winter temperatures freeze any precipitation that may be in your gutters. Once the water and leaves freeze in the gutter it forms frozen blocks that are nearly impossible to remove until thawed.
MOWING
We use top of the line commercial mowing equipment to provide quality mowing services. We sharpen our mower blades regularly to provide the lawn with the best possible cut and neatest appearance. When it comes to appearance we have you covered.
We leave your lawn with the neatest, most presentable appearance possible. We achieve this by striping the lawn. Lawn striping is an excellent way to set your lawns apart from the neighbors and have a lawn that everyone admires.
PRUNING
We offer pruning and trimming of plants, shrubs and small trees.
Pruning is generally essential to most plants in the landscape. It is important to prune regularly to maintain a plants size or shape, to remove diseased, damaged, dead, or non-productive parts and to encourage new growth.
We use a wide range of pruning tools and have all the tools to get the job done properly.

We provide timely and thorough leaf clean up and removal services. We use top quality commercial back pack leaf blowers to get the job done quick and effectively. We can blow the leaves to existing wooded areas on your property or blow them to the curb where we will use our truck leaf vacuum system to remove them.
Our leaf removal services are priced by the hour. Estimates
can be given at any time for this service, however, we prefer
to estimate the job once the leaves have fallen so we can
give a more accurate estimate. Although the leaf removal
is billed hourly we really have the equipment to make short
work of it, even on the toughest of jobs.
We charge by the job for gutter cleaning. We are able to clean most gutters on homes for very reasonable amounts. However, homes with gutters on multiple levels or with very steep roof pitches will cost more, if we are even able to clean them at all. We are always willing to give free estimates..
Compact soil prevents grass from establishing a healthy root system and keeps water and fertilizer from reaching the roots. Opening up compact soil allows air, water and fertilizer to reach the turf roots. Stronger roots help the grass tolerate excessive heat and dry conditions. Aeration also reduces the lawn maintenance cost by enhancing soil, water and fertilizer uptake. With these enhancements, you are able to use less while achieving a greener lawn.
We use walk behind commercial core aerators to provide a quality job. We generally aerate lawns in spring and fall. The pricing of aeration is based on the square footage of the lawn. We offer very good rates for this service, in fact we are not sure you will find a more competitive price!
